​​EQUIPMENT

 

Please be sure to bring the required equipment to the class. Keep in mind that the required equipment is simply the minimum. One of the goals of the course is to make you better at how you operate, please bring the equipment you deploy with in whatever your given assignment is.

General

• Duty or Range belt with a minimum of 2 magazine pouches and duty holster

• Body Armor - Patrol vest, soft vest, plater carrier are all acceptable

• Eye and Ear Protection - Electronic ear pro is required

• Season appropriate attire - Course will be held rain or shine

• Hydration source

Weapon​​

• Duty handgun that is either midsize or full size.

  • Compact/admin duty guns are insufficient for this course​

• Minimum of 3 magazines

  • If utilizing a 45 caliber system with lower round count per magazine, bring a minimum of 5 magazines​

• NOTE - Red Dot Optics and Sights - Students are NOT required to have a Red Dot Sight (RDS) for this course. Students may utilized a handgun with either a Red Dot or Traditional Iron Sights. Course instruction addresses both systems. Students who do not have a Red Dot Sight will be given opportunity to shoot with a  Red Dot with handguns provided by range staff.
